You Might Want To Take A Seat This Will Take Awhile!

Well, I am finally sitting down since Christmas Eve to catch you up on what has been keeping us so busy. As most of you know, we have lots of birthdays to celebrate before and after Christmas. The first one was my niece's birthday on the (20th) but we had her party on the (13th). She turned 5! She had a gymnastics party so this was the best picture I could get that wasn't a blur...haha.
Next, we were on to Lizzie Grace's birthday which is on the (28th) but we partied on the (20th). This was the first year she just wanted to invite people in her class at school, so we did. I had not planned on her having another party but maybe just a simple get together at our house but she brought out the tears so I said ok. She wanted a skating party. So you know what that meant, I had to skate too, I had promised! Lizzie didn't have as many bruises this time as she did when she went a couple of weeks earlier to her best friend, Emma's, party. But my legs were KILLING me when I got finished. I could tell that I was older and wasn't as cool as I used to be on my skates. Oh to be 12 again...haha. My Dad even skated!!! I am 35 years old and I have NEVER seen my Dad on skates. I was impressed that he only fell twice and didn't have any broken bones. Way to go, Dad!!! Here are a few pics from the rink...

My girls

I made Lizzie's cake (yummy Devil's Food Chocolate)

Maggie, Bella, Lizzie & Loren Mason, Kaleb, Stephanie & Emma

Our elves wanted to party too so they were some how delivered to the skating rink just in time to open gifts and eat cake!
Here we are skating...check out Dad! He will do anything for his Grand babies!! Is there anything my Dad can't do?????

Ok, moving on to the next event. Lizzie's Christmas school party. They did some crafts and decorated a cookie lollipop, had a gift swap, some snacks, and sang Christmas carols to us. She has a wonderful teacher! They had a great time!

Now we are up to Christmas...yea! We always have a calm and relaxing Christmas morning. My parents come with my Uncle and Nanny and we eat Sausage Balls and open gifts from each other and they get to see what the girl's got from Santa. Then we go to Mom & Dad's house and have a late lunch with Jason and Natalie & kiddos and open more gifts. Here are some pics...

This was the first year that we each read a book before the girls went to bed on Christmas Eve. Lizzie had the honor of reading The Night Before Christmas and she did a GREAT job!! We always read these books before Santa comes.
Boy, I can't wait for an Easy Bake oven cake, could you??

This is our favorite gift and we love it too!! We can only play on it when they are in school. Haha kids.

Lizzie Grace LOVES to read and I am so thankful. She had all the books Santa gave her for Christmas read by the afternoon!!

Fake fingernails...just what I always wanted!!

I saw the perfect gift for my Dad at Books-A-Million. It was a 1970 Chevelle SuperSport Christmas ornament. It was green and black just like the one my Mom has and my Dad is rebuilding. How cool was that??? He LOVED it!!!
Gifts from Popa & Nana

The girls made flower pots for Nannie. They were really cute...I wish I had one now! Lizzie, Nannie & Ash.
Well this gets us through Christmas morning. There is more to see!!

Glad to see you're still alive :) Sounds like you all have been busy! Can't believe you made that super-cute & I'm sure yummy cake! Way to go! I'm really proud of your Dad for skating! I wouldn't even try it now.

Oh the hours I spent with the Easy Bake oven. It was one of my all-time faves! I bet I made my parents eat hundreds of little oddly decorated cakes.

By the way, I see why you haven't blogging--you're too busy playing Guitar Hero while the girls are school :)

I feel really bad about not keeping my blog up but I knew I would have hundreds of pictures to put on here and I had my book to write about it all and I'm still not finished...haha I love reading your blog. It is wonderful and inspiring. I miss you! We need to get together and scrapbook!
